Marketing technology company Fiksu tracked the impact of the iPhone 4S on iPhone app downloads and found that download volume of the top 200 free apps increased 15% from October's previous record high of 4.91 million daily downloads. In November, the firm's "App Store Competitive Index," which measures this trend, peaked at 5.65 million downloads per day - the first time it has topped the 5 million mark.
