This weekend I ate sushi and birthday cake and had a margarita. Birthdays inevitably get me thinking about what I have accomplished and where I am. This one was no exception but honestly, it?s been so busy around here that I can?t dwell too much on mistakes, regrets or even the good stuff ? onward!

I also dreamed really big thoughts about some projects I want to do ? some may happen sooner than later, but they are definitely going to happen. I?m still finding my way with the consulting business and how much I want to devote toward clients versus self-directed projects. It?s been a strange but fun shift from retail to consulting, but I also have a kiddo now and decision-making isn?t as simple as it used to be.
I am contemplating writing less on this blog ? by inviting contributors who can offer their perspective on business matters. I want to post as much as I can but the 5 a week schedule is rather daunting now that the client work has ramped up, and especially since that work includes so much writing. If you or someone you know would want to contribute to the dialogue here, please let me know.
And speaking of reading ? my non-fiction consumption is way up, but I?m missing my fiction. Suggestions welcome on this front as well.
